The growth challenge

More traffic won't fix
a journey that loses people.

A campaign can get attention. Growth happens when the promise, the product and the experience line up. I help SaaS teams find where that connection breaks, then turn the insight into work that ships.

Connected expertise

Every stage.
A stronger next step.

From the first impression to the next renewal. Focused support wherever your growth needs the most attention.

01 / ACQUISITION

Be the obvious choice
for the right customer.

Sharpen your positioning, explain the value and build a path from discovery to qualified demand. Connect content and campaigns to the customer you actually want.

How the work happens

Find the friction.
Build the momentum.

A practical cycle of diagnosis, focused execution and learning. Each step informs the next.

THE SMP GROWTH CYCLECUSTOMER EVIDENCE → BETTER DECISIONS
  1. Understand the whole journey.

Review your product, funnel, messaging and customer feedback. Agree what a valuable customer looks like and where progress stalls.

  2. Choose the constraint worth fixing.

Build a focused plan around the biggest opportunity. Define the hypothesis, the measure and the work needed to test it.

  3. Make it, launch it, learn from it.

Bring strategy into copy, design and lifecycle journeys. Work alongside your team to implement, measure and improve.

  4. Build on what earns its place.

Keep useful changes, document the learning and decide what comes next. Give your team a clearer path with every cycle.

About SMP

Clear thinking.
Hands-on making.

I'm Sam, the person behind SMP. I bring creative direction, digital design and growth strategy together to help SaaS teams connect what they promise with what customers experience.

That means working across the website, the product and the messages in between. From understanding the problem to making the work, I stay close to the details that move a customer forward.

01

The whole journey matters.

Acquisition, product and lifecycle decisions should support the same customer outcome. Work starts by looking at how they connect.

02

Evidence gives the work direction.

Customer conversations and behaviour help identify the next useful change. Clear measurement helps us understand whether it worked.

03

Strategy should reach the customer.

Good thinking becomes valuable when it changes the experience. Copy, design and practical delivery are part of the work.

04

Your team should come away stronger.

Shared decisions, documented learning and usable assets help the work keep moving after a project ends.

A few useful answers

Before we
get started.

Who is SMP a good fit for?

SaaS founders and marketing, product or growth teams with a working product and a customer journey they want to improve. We can begin with a diagnostic if the priority is not yet clear.

Can you help with strategy and delivery?

Yes. Work can include research, prioritisation, messaging, content, design and lifecycle journeys. Implementation responsibilities are agreed upfront so you know what SMP will deliver and what needs your product or engineering team.

What if we don't have much data yet?

We can start with customer conversations, an experience review and a simple measurement plan. Experiments should match the evidence and traffic available; low-volume products often need qualitative learning before statistical testing.

Do you work alongside an existing team?

Yes. SMP can support your founder, marketing lead, product team or existing specialists. We agree a clear owner for each piece of work and a review rhythm that fits your team.

What does an engagement cost?

Investment depends on the challenge, scope and level of support. After an initial conversation, you receive a proposal covering deliverables, responsibilities, timing and fees before any work begins.

How do you measure success?

We agree a primary outcome before starting, such as qualified sign-ups, activation, trial conversion or retention. We also define the baseline, measurement window and guardrails. Results depend on your product, audience and the changes we can implement.
